Strengthening the Australia–Vietnam Partnership

Vietnamese President Tô Lâm’s visit to Australia strengthened the two countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with both sides agreeing to deepen cooperation in defence, security, trade, investment, education and technology. Three joint statements were released, reflecting a push for more practical and strategic cooperation.

Economically, both countries see significant opportunities in critical minerals, energy, infrastructure, technology and supply-chain diversification.
